So so happy....

Yesterday I finally got my splinter out! Yeah, I know that sounds like I'm a total weiner but I don't even care. That was seriously the meaniest splinter/chunk of log ever!! Back last Sunday when I was helping Jerry do some tree trimming work, I grabbed a limb & somehow shoved a massive chunk of tree into my leg - DEEP! I dug & dug & dug on it & couldn't ever get it out & it got really infected & gross looking. Well then Friday I had a doctor's appointment set up (yea - totally weiner-ish) but then didn't even get seen (a whole nother gripe there!) so I was really determined to get it out myself just because I was on not going back to the doctor's office. This is what finally came out...... (can't you see what a chunk of tree that is??) And I may still have a crater of a hole left in my knee but BOY does it feel better!

Besides that, Jim's now talking like he's going to get himself a place of his own. With the way Jerry's butt-head has been acting lately, I'm more than happy for them to just be roommates together. I don't think I've got them quite convinced of that yet but I can work on it. :)

And here's my new hair! (even though it's a bad pic since it wasn't really fixed & I was all sweaty from the nature walk) I wanted to try something new, so I found something I liked in a magazine & went with it. It's not quite like the pic was but I do like it & really like the bangs.

Today we took a little trip down to Roaring River. We did the nature walk (or let's just say PART of the nature walk) & then went wading down in the creek. We really had a good time. Between Jim goofing off & Dylan's scaredy squeals, we were all laughing so hard we were crying. Here's some of my favorite pics from the day.

Oh but then get this... somebody ripped off a plastic window corner thingy off my car while we were there. Don't ask me why - I can't imagine anyone stealing this because they needed one for their Rendevzous. I'm just guessing it was someone just being evil & stupid. Now... to find where I order one of those and it better not cost much!

Hopefully this week goes by quickly. We've now got 12 days left in this apartment so I need to get lots of packing done!

If only I could stay on this roll.....

I'd be a scrappin' machine. :) I finally decided to take the plunge & scrap something 8 1/2 x 11 & WHOAAA! does that feel good! I have gotten so many layouts done & am pretty pleased with most of them. Who knew 8 1/2 x 11 was so fun??!!??

And this one? I was really beginning to think I couldn't do it. I did it for the challenge over at Scrapncircle. It was to create a different shaped layout that normal square/rectangle, include one pic, include lots of words, & include something from the office on it. The shape was what really was stumping me but when I finally decided on it, the other came together a little easier.

Now it's clean up time & then it's off to bed!

Well things will be changing soon. We've decided to switch apartments & sign a year lease over in Marionville. I'm not super thrilled but I know I didn't want to sign a year lease here. At least when we move over there we'll have a bigger apartment, the kids will have a playground to play at, & it'll be $100 less a month. Plus that will be good so we can actually be saving money. So the end of this month is going to be B-U-S-Y! I've talked Jim and dad into helping so maybe things can go quicker that way!
